I am having trouble building and viewing PDFs. I have read numerous blogs and I can't find a solution.
I get the following error:
Couldn't find input index file C:\ etc nor C:\etc.idx.
I have checked the paths in build>define output profiles and reinstalled miktex. Any other suggestions?

Build and View PDF
Does LaTeX run at all? That is, if you run latex myfile instead of pdflatex myfile, do you get a DVI? If so, you can convert that with dvipdfm or dvips + ps2pdf.
Without a better description of the input that's causing the output you're getting, that's the best I can do.
