Hi,
I'm compiling the final manuscript of my PhD dissertation with pdftex in Texnic Center using the MikTex 2.7 distribution. Everything was OK until compilation starts stopping. That is, compilation works fine but always in the same figure it stops and it does not continue. The format of this last figure, as almost all in the document, is pdf. To ensure that the bounding box was correctly defined, I tried to generate this last figure first as a ps and then transform it to eps and pdf with GSview. However, it stops again in the same point. Also, I splitted the document in several parts, but the result is the same. If you delete this figure, compilation stops in the previous one, and so on.
I'd would thank you a lot if someone has any idea what what is happening.
Thank you very much in advance,
Xavier.

Re: Compilation stop
At least the exact error message is necessary to get a clue.

Re: Compilation stop
Sorry, I forgot to mention in my message. There is no message error, only compilation gets blocked and it does not continue. I tried to compile in other 2 computers and the problem is the same. The only thing to highlight is that "Non-pdf special ignored!" often appears during compilation, but it also appeared when the pdf was correctly generated. In fact, now the system generates a pdf but it can't be opened. A message says that the file is damaged, when trying to open the pdf.

Re: Compilation stop
Hi Xavier,
perhaps post the .log file here as attachment, it could contain the error message.

Re: Compilation stop
Hi Stefan,
Thank you for your interest. I finally resolved the compilation trouble with some colleagues from my lab. The stop was due to a big table that appears a lot of lines below the place where compilation got blocked. I didn't suspect from this table but the figure immediately below the compilation stop. However, after trying a lot of changes to this figure, I decided to end the document at the compilation stop. In doing so, compilation worked. In front of this, I sequentially included into the compilation stop the text from the end of the original document until including the conflictive part. I identified that was the table but not the figure that produced the error. Apparently, the table had an extra width of 0.5 cm that blocked compilation.

Xavier.
