I am trying to generate an appendix at the end of my document. Following references and tables, I have
\newpage
\appendix
\section{blah}
and then text followed by
\end{document}
My appendix, however, is not appearing at the end of the document. Half of it appears after figures but before tables, and the other half appears after tables. What is going on here?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Post some useful information: your preamble and the exact code you are using to include your tables and figures.
