Hi, i'm fairly new at LaTeX and am having a rather annoying problem. Everytime I make an error say
\begin{equation}
3^{21)
\end{equation}
and compile, I obviously get told that I have an error and where the error is, but then after I fix it and try to compile I get a fail at \begin{document}, yet if I copy the whole code and paste it into a new tex document and save and compile I don't get an error. This is really frustrating, does anyone have any idea why? Thanks

After an error compiling fails at \begin{document}
Hi Joe,
welcome to the board!
If that happens every time then you could just create a minimal working example showing that behaviour and post this example here in the forum and also the corresponding .log file containing errors, warnings and information.

Perhaps deleting all auxiliary files might do the trick.
