Veiwing eps figures created from matlab

Post by vijayreddy »

Hi,
I use XEmacs as Latex editor which runs on MikTex 2.7. I have a problem in generating dvi files when i use eps figures generated from Matlab 7.0. The error generated in dvi files is...
The page could not be rendered.

Code: Select all

Error: /undefined in Encoding=TeXnANSIEncoding
Operand stack:

Execution stack:
   %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1893 1 3 %oparray_pop 1892 1 3 %oparray_pop 1876 1 3 %oparray_pop 1755 1 3 %oparray_pop --nostringval-- %errorexec_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval--
Dictionary stack:
   --dict:1155/1684(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:71/200(L)--
Current allocation mode is local
Last OS error: No such file or directory
MiKTeX GPL Ghostscript 8.60: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
But when i created eps figures in the following way: saving matlab figures as bmp images and then opened in CorelPhotopaint and saved as eps figures, i was able to see figures in dvi files ofcourse the figures lack of quality.

Could anybody help me so that i can directly use eps figures created from matlab?

----- Vijay

This may be a malfunction of the direct EPS export from Matlab. You could attach one of those files to your next post for examination.

Best regards and welcome to the board
