Good people!

Post by gauwain »

Hello,

I'm Gauwain, hailing from Holland.

At some point I was so fed up with WYSIWYG programs. I started off with MS Office (drama), took on OOo, which soon was replaced by GoogleDocs. GD turned out to be too poor in features and I came back in OOo, which didn't bring me what I wanted from a texteditor.

A friend suggested LaTeX. So far I'm really impressed. There is a couple of points that make me :? , but I reckon that's just my limited beginner's knowledge of LaTeX.

Everything I have to hand in (assignments, theses, papers, manuscripts, letters) goes in .pdf, through LaTeX. I love how it looks. I love the fact that with one blink you can see that a document is made up in LaTeX.

Splendid. I wanna learn more!

See ya around,

Gauwain

It is not only the look that makes LaTeX outstanding. But you will experience this later.
