MiKTeX and proTeXt ⇒ Really basic upgrade question

I'm a really new user, and don't use it that often so please bear with me. I'm still getting used to the framework in which you use latex. (I am however, *not* a novice computer user)
I use TeXnic Center to create my documents. I needed to install a package, ok fine. It said that MikTex 2.5 was no longer supported, and that I needed to upgrade. Ok, fine. Download MikTex 2.7 & install. Uninstall 2.5.

Now... how do i get Texnic center to realize that I don't want to use the 2.5 version that it's looking for in the protex/ folder?

After you have started TeXnicCenter (TXC) press Alt+F7 and start the wizard in the lower left corner of the following dialogue window. Enter the path to the MiKTeX 2.7 executables.

TXC will create new build profiles provided that all other necessary software (GSView/Ghostscript, Adobe Reader) is installed.
