Hello to all of you!

I was writing my thesis with latex and just some hours ago while i was trying to figure out a solution to a "tables" problem, i fall on this wonderful forum and i was very happy that firstly, i managed to solve my problem and lastly, that i discovered such an organized community based on Latex users!!

I was very happy, because now i feel that i can share knowledge, information and enthusiasm about such a wonderful "tool" that makes our lives more beautiful - since it can make our docs look beautiful ;)!!

Ok, i have to say that i found out latex some months ago when i decided to begin to write my m.sc thesis in economics. Since then, i became enthusiast about latex, basically for two reasons: 1. It lets you concentrate on your thoughts and writing and 2. it produces harmonically balanced documents, aesthetically speaking.

Some petty details: I work on a ubuntu 8.04 linux pc and produce my documents using Kile 2.0.

I am glad to meet you!!!
Greetings from Thessaloníki!

Many thanks for this first detailed introduction. I'm sure that you will find solutions to other problems in the future. Our active members worked out some very useful stuff during the time this community exists. And if there is no solution, don't hesitate to ask.

Best regards and welcome to the board
