TeXnicCenter Crashes (PDF output profile).

Post by TheWherewithal »

Dear all,
I'm very new to LaTeX and experiencing what might seem like a basic problem. I'm using TeXnicCenter as an editor and can't seem to be able to "view output" when using the LaTex=>PDF output profile. Instead of opening a PDF reader, TeXnicCenter just ends up crashing ("Not Responding").
Thanks for the help,
Jason.

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

Hi Jason,

welcome to the board!
Was a pdf file generated? If yes, check your output profile if a pdf reader is configured there, perhaps post your settings. If no, you could post your log file for us to check.
Btw. I will move the topic to the TeXnicCenter forum.
