I like your teaching style -- no easy answers. Even by reading the documentation, I still had to experiment and fiddle until I got it. It's like learning to read a new language. Bottom line: Thank you.

basically, it is help for self help. Like the old saying: Give a man a fish ... or teach him how to fish ...

many people have a problem with those X's in the tocloft doc or in the memoir manual. But it is all in there, people just need to be patient.
