Printing help files

Post by ray reeves »

I am experienced in Latex but new to LyX.
My grievance is I seem unable to print the help files. When I hit the print icon it asks me what printer. Why does it ask that? I have a default printer and I don't know how else to identify it.

To my knowledge, you can't directly print a LyX file "as is". You have to typeset it to generate the corresponding DVI or PDF file. So, click on the Adobe icon on the toolbar or use a suitable item in the View menu. Then print the DVI or PDF file.
