have a look at http://wiki.lyx.org/BibTeX/JurabibMLA, where you can find a .rar-archive containing all the necessary files and examples to get your footnotes and bibliography working with jurabib and for the requirements of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (6th edition). It's optimized for footnote-citations, but if you prefer in-text citations, just keep to the suggestions James Clawson made, as he worked out and tested the in-text option. NB: Even though the MLA doesn't like ibid. and op. cit., they seem to work for James and the in-text citations, but don't use them in footnotes, as the MLA definitely doesn't recommend them (cf. p. 313 in the 6th edition of their handbook)!
May be someone is so kind to explain me how to solve this and to achieve my goal. It is writing exam papers according to the MLA style. And I want to use the style from the given link cause it works wonderful for me but with Winedt only.
So I want to get a taste of how it is to work with Lyx.
PS: How do you work with projects? Is there a way to work conveniently with "/input chapter07" eg? A project tree as in WinEdt?
