Hello everybody,
I'm new as well. I'm extensively using LaTeX quite some time now (MacTex), learning it's secrets as I go on.

Re: Hello
Yup I am new here too. G'day folks!
I started using LaTeX about a year ago. Actually I used LyX first which helped me to get familiar with the environment. Now I use TeXnicCenter and do all the coding myself. I write reports, manuscripts for journals and create presentations using the LaTeX environment. Every day I learn new tricks, it's really neat. Like today i discovered pdftex and it compiles my documents so much faster!
But overall I am so glad that I never again have to bother with formatting and creating cross-references and citations in MS Word again. What a nightmare!!
