replacing a template glossary

Post by Pelby »

Hi

I consider myself a total novice using latex but have managed to get quite far in writing my thesis by simply tweaking the template available at http://openwetware.org/wiki/LaTeX_templ ... PhD_thesis

I'm now having problems editing the existing template glossary. I've replaced the example content in the .glo file with my own, but when I compile the thesis.tex file, the old glossary is still included. The comments about glossaries on the page linked above (and at http://www-h.eng.cam.ac.uk/help/tpl/tex ... esisStyle/ upon which the template is based) aren't very clear to me in how to get it to work.

Does anyone here know how to get the glossary to work I'm completely stuck.

thanks.

(for info I'm using texniccenter on a WinXP machine)

The template uses the nomencl package to create the glossary. Refer to its documentation to get things work.
