Compiling Error

Post by DuskStar »

I've been using TeXnicCenter for several months now and mid way through using it this afternoon I seem to have acquired an error that I dont understand. When compiling my work (Ctrl F7) I started to recieve errors saying 'I couldnt open file name 'C:\Users\.......aux' Couldnt find input index file'. Then it says there are no errors, no pages (when theres at least 3!).

When I then try to make it into a PDF it says the file is damaged or corrupted, then when I go back to TeKnicCenter I get an error saying '[DocOpen("bm.pdf")][FileOpen("bm.pdf")]

As far as I'm aware I havent changed anything, though Im beginning to wonder if I have and not realised it!

Does anyone have any suggestions? (I dont understand much about MikTeX etc, I just know how to operate TeXnicCenter to create the documents I want!)

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

I suggest to cleanup your project directory from all files you didn't create by yourself and start a new run.
