new instance with "inverse search" in Texmaker 1.8

Post by polet82 »

Texmaker 1.8 claims:
A new instance of texmaker will no more be opened while using "inverse search" (the program can only be started once per user).
However, for me it still launches a new instance (running on Windows). Does anyone know how to solve it?

Tried to contact the author several times, he never ever replies :x

I thought it is a firewall first, but it is not.

Inverse search works correctly only if the file where it needs to go is already open in one of the tabs.
Otherwise it for some reason launches a new instance, instead of opening it in a new tab.
Of course the master document is not defined there, you put some changes, it would not compile etc.

Here is the case when it fails:
You have the main document, which includes other sections from the separate files with \include{}.
