Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ labels and references

I'm using TexShop Version 4.70. I am getting wrong label references, in fact the same reference is showing for a few different figures. I fixed the multiple references and the same references are still coming up wrong. Anyone encounter this problem before, any suggestions? Thanks,
