When reading a large Latex pdf document with many internal links, such as see chapter x, section y (\Cref{x.y}, how does one get that link to come up on monitor two so that you continue to have the original text at the point you were reading on monitor one, while the linked text appears on monitor two at the same time? The way internal links are now you loose your place going to one. You could back link every link but the permutations would soon become prohibitively large. Is there a solution out there? Thanks.

That is something that has to be handled by your PDF viewer. Evince, for example, has an "open in new window" option if you right-click on an internal link.
