Hi,
I am using latex and pdfbook2 in order to produce a brochure. Thus far this is working. Since pdfbook2 further reduces page size, I would like to increase the font size for a larger final font. The document class declaration is fairly standard:
\documentclass[12pt,letterpaper]{book}
Now this works up to 12pt, after which the document length (in pages) actually gets smaller, and the font size slightly decreases. Any suggestions as to what I can do to increase the font to 16pt, or 18pt?
Thanks

Note: It is always better to design the document for the final paper size. Scaling often results in ugly outputs, i.e. because of scaling of lines in fonts, tables and figures.
However, if you really want to do it and so need strange font sizes: → Other “document font” sizes?
Please also note, that the classes of the extsizes bundle are derived from old standard classes and never have been adapted to bug fixes and improvements of the original standard classes or changes of the LaTeX kernel.

Hi,
THANK YOU for the reply. I didn't realize that the standard document classes only provided 10 - 12pt. With LaTeX, my goals are two fold: One is note taking, and the other is to print out those notes and use them "on the go". The concept of brochure / letterpaper -> folio printing is therefore attractive. In addition to this, I am older, and a font size above 12pt is also nice. I really appreciate the response to a very mundane question.
Thanks,
