LyX ⇒ Incorrect display of English that's inline with Hebrew text

Wow.. Did it on a VM and it all worked like a charm ! thank you !

However, I tried to remove both LaTeX and LyX from my computer to reinstall - with tl first and then LyX.. but that didn't fix the problem.. I thinks it's because either LyX or tl are not completely removed. Any advice on that ?

I think you might be right. You could compare the log files from your virtual box to your main system. If your theory is right, you will probably see differences in the versions of packages loaded.

Five years later, I have faced the same problem, but I found a different solution, that doesn't require re-installing or any VM. I had the "Use Hyperref Support" option ticked in "PDF Properties" of the documents settings, and when I turned it off the document turned back to normal.
