I use an old Mac Mini. I constructed some physics equations in an email, using LaTex format,
and sent it to a university professor for comment. He replied that my eqs. did not come through,
and I saw that in their place were empty rectangles. But when I then tested my own original
email by forwarding it to myself, the eqs. survived and came through just fine.
Why would they turn to 'garbage' on their arrival in someone else's email program? What
am I missing? Very puzzling.
Thanks,
Gene

Hi Gene,
welcome to the forum!
Perhaps the images are not embedded in your email, but links to the images on your computer. So they are displayed when the mail is read on your computer, but not on other people computers. If you don't get it to work, perhaps send your professor a full PDF as attachment, with your formulas.
