Hi, I'm new to LaTex and I have a problem with formatting the footnotes of my table.
The footnotes exceed the width of the table (see picture attached). They should be aligned with it or even a bit narrower than the table.
I would be grateful for any hints how to do that! Thanks a lot.

It'd be helpful if you could provide a 
minimal working example for the attached figure.
In the picture, the caption of the table exceeds its width, not the footnote. It suggests that you aren't using the
threeparttable package.
