Hello,

I have the following problem :

1) The following script works :

\'e
\end{document}

2) This one doesn't :

\begin{document}
\begin{enumerate}
\item
\'e
\end{enumerate}
\end{document}

! Argument of \T1\' has an extra }.
<inserted text>
\par
l.20 \'
e

3) This one works :

\begin{document}
\begin{enumerate}
\item
{\'e}
\end{enumerate}
\end{document}

Could you explain me why the 2nd script doesn't work ?
