Lyx on Mac with M1 processor

Post by Gusto »

Hello,
does anybody know, of Lyx works on a Macintosh computer with the new M1 processor?
I called the apple support, but they could not answer my question.
I used Google and found that this is not tested. https://isapplesiliconready.com/app/LyX.
Perhaps anyone knows? Thanks in advance.

AFAIK currently there is no native M1 binary of LyX. But all M1 Macs have a very fast x86_64 emulator.

Note: MacTeX 2021 is already available as universal binary package and runs natively on M1 Macs. So you can already use native TeX with M1 Macs.
Sorry, but I can no longer participate here as the administrator is trampling on my wishes on one of his other platforms.
