tikz 3D penrose tribar

Julien Cretel shares tikz code for a beautiful Penrose tribar:

I need to pair a closed tribar like Julien's with an open tribar, something like this:

I lack the artistic and tikz skills to adapt Julien's code so that the tribar appears from a different angle and so "opens up". Can anyone help?
