Hey,
I'm writing my thesis right now using LaTex and I've never had a major problem until today. Yesterday everything was normal but today, when I run LaTeX I get the error message ' ! I can't write on file 'xxx.tex'. ' It is definitely not a problem of the code, because I get this error even if I just use a premade template when starting a new document.
I have tried Texmaker and TeXnicCenter and they both give me this error message. I also uninstalled an re-installed MiKTeX and nothing changed.
Since I saw in a couple of threads where people added their log file to their questions, when researching for this problem, I added mine as well.

Can't generate PDF
On Windows typically a problem with locked already existing PDF file or the rights management of the destination folder. Restart windows and try a LaTeX run without opening the PDF file previously. Check the permissions of an already existing PDF file and the destination folder.
Instead of the PDF viewer also another process could have locked the file or folder. See »Find out which process is locking a file or folder in Windows« to identify the process.
Disclaimer: I'm not using Windows.

Sorry, but I can no longer participate here as the administrator is trampling on my wishes on one of his other platforms.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the problem. The problem occurs even if I haven't even produced a pdf with that name yet. I also restarted the computer many times and that doesn't change anything.

Seems like the problem was caused by my antivirus program.
