TeXnicCenter uses Myspell or Hunspell?

Post by zaradek »

According to the readme of the Hungarian OpenOffice dictionary it requires Hunspell 1.3 engine to use:
Hungarian Hunspell dictionaries version 1.3 with morphological data
Alias compressed dictionary (work with Hunspell 1.3 or newer versions)
I have nowhere found what engine does TeXnicCenter use: Myspell? Hunspell? What version?

Thanks,
Máté

Texniccenter uses the same spell checker engine as in OpenOffice. It is already comprises in the setup file of TexnicCenter. So you do not need to change anything (nor installing OpenOfice for example).

If you need to install an other dictionary, just go to http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries. Thereafter, unzip the files in the subdirectory language of TeXnicCenter program folder (in my case it is C:\Program Files\TeXnicCenter\Language). Just restart TeXnicCenter and it should work.

Hi Annabel,

If that is the chase, please help me out, because I did everything as you said, but it doesn't work for me.

I have posted the problem here in two threads.

Thanks,
Máté
