compiling with pdfLatex in TeXstudio.

Hello,

I am a beginner in Latex. I tried to compile using pdfLatex but I kept on getting the same message

Error: Could not start the command: pdflatex.exe -synctex=1 -interaction=nonstopmode "texstudio_TRaunb".tex

can somebody help.

Have you installed a TeX distribution and the LaTeX packages of that distribution?

Have you tried menu entry Help → Check LaTeX Installation? Can you show us the output of the check run?

It seems there is no pdflatex installed, because the output of "where pdflatex" and "pdflatex.exe -version" are empty.

Have you installed MiKTeX? Unfortunately I cannot help repairing MiKTeX, because I'm not using it.
