Is there any automatic way to have access to the counter of the last label (perhaps using prettyref) in another document?
It seems that the package xr does not provide this functionality.
That would be interesting, e.g., if I want to continue the equation numbering from one document to another one, even if they are not part of the same parent/children structure.
