pgf/TikZ installation issues
I have Redhat Enterprise Linux, so pgf/TikZ did not come with my TeX distribution. I downloaded the tarfile from Sourceforge. I followed the instructions in the user guide on how to install in a texmf tree. I ran texhash each time I updated (I repeated the process of extracting the files and copying them to the right directories). I also needed to change permissions.
However, even with all that, LaTeX finds tons of errors in the tikz.code.tex. As far as I can tell, there is no Tech Support. Is there something I'm missing?

If you have to install PGF manually, I recommend installing the CVS version. A lot has changed since the last official release. You can find recent builds here:
