Section Numbering
Hi guys. My institute has spesific rules for thesis. One of them is sectioning. First image is our institute's type, second is default latex type. But i can't change dafault type. I want to put a point after the number. Please help me.

Section Numbering
Hi and welcome to the forum,
you are talking about the LaTeX standard, but it depends on the document class in use. Are you using a standard class, a KOMA class, memoir or a specific thesis class provided by the university?
Also, some packages change the appearance of chapter and section headings.

No, they are not the same site. It is just common to leave a note if you ask the same questions in different spots. So we can check if your problem is already solved and we do not waste our time.
