how can i do beautiful design to index < as table of contents with dotes for example

or Alphabetical order
or any nice design

Strange question because alphabetical order is the default of MakeIndex …

However: → Topic Index in the CTAN-Catalogue, i.e., idxlayout and both PDFs to makeindex.

Alternatives to MakeIndex would be Xindy or the quit new (and still work in progress) xindex.

If you have a concrete problem with the applying the manuals, please show us a Infominimal working example to illustrate that problem.
