Hello ,
I have a problem using Skim with Lyx. I want to use the synctex function. I follow all the instructions on this site https://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/SyncTeX , but instead of opening Skim it opens the default Preview.

problem with using Skim as pdf viewer

At first, I am not latex advanced user.
Try to recheck entered path and command in the terminal.
Or try to use another pdf viewer.
I am linux user, and after any pdf build complete okular or evince (pdf viewers) automatically redraw pdf to the newest state. LyX or cli, does not matter.
