TeX Live 2008 released
It doesn't seem to be obvious from the docs on-line, but TeXLive2008 also includes "SyncTeX" functionality within the latex binary. if I'd like to update from texlive 2007 to 2008, I do have to remove the old version first, right? How can texlive be properly removed under a linux system (say ubuntu) if the software was installed from a dvd and not from the distribution repositories itself?
