Texmaker and TeXstudio ⇒ need help: opening an old .tex on a new Texmaker

Hello, i need your help. Im not a speacialist with latex - so some years ago i used Latex with texmaker on an old PC, i started a scientific report. Now years later i need to proceed with it.
Last time i used the texmaker and compiled the file to PDF with PDFLatex. If i want to do this now it does not work anymore.

The following errors are shown:
-E:\Programme\Latex\tex/latex/koma-script\scrpage2.sty - usage of obsolete package!(scrpage2) Package `scrpage2' is obsolete.
- dissertation.tex - Over-specification in `h'-direction.
-dissertation.tex - old toc file detected, not used; run LaTeX again.
-dissertation.tex - old lof file detected, not used; run LaTeX again.
-dissertation.tex - old lot file detected, not used; run LaTeX again.
-includes/00Hauptteil.tex - Citation `Sloniger1997a' on page 2 undefined
(The last error is there multipe times for every citation i made...)

It would be really great if you would help me, i was really happy working with latex last time. Just dont know what to change to get it working again.. .; (

Now it added some more errors - the last ones were only warning. not it is showing 4 errors:

Hi Carlo,

welcome to the forum!

Let's skip the warnings for now and look at the errors to get your document compilable. I always tackle the first error, since following errors can simply be a consequence of the first one.

"LaTeX Error: Command \textcurrency unavailable in encoding T1" points to an encoding error. It's probably already the input encoding. Try to check (or to remember) what input encoding your old document uses. You have to set the same in Texmaker (Options -> Configure Texmaker -> Editor -> Editor font encoding) and in the document, where you have \usepackage[ansinew]{inputenc}. Today's editors (and good operation systems) use utf8. But first you can try if ansinew still works with your old file if you configure ansinew (or latin1) also in Texmaker.

thanks so much for your fast reply. I found the old Version of Texmaker and the settings are exactly the same. ; (
Well, now (i dont know why) after i changed the \usepackage[ansinew]{inputenc} to something else and changed it back afterwards it is producing different errors now.
Now the errors are:

I do not even have a line 103 in my main file? it ends with line 102...


What do you mean by "if you configure ansinew (or latin1) also in Texmaker"?
in the Settings (Options -> Configure Texmaker -> Editor -> Editor font encoding) there is no such option like ansinew or latin1... ; /


Can you help me with these new errors? ; /

latin1 or ansinew (as in the document) are perhaps called ISO-8859-1 or ISO-8859-15 or the like in Texmaker. (I don't have Texmaker)

Regarding the errors: can you post the .log file here, as attachment? The Attatchments link is below the text edit field, when writing a post. All errors and warnings are listed there.
