LyX ⇒ LyX 2.3.0 dows not run in Windows 10

Dear List members,

I have a problem with LyX 2.3.0.
Details:

1. Operating system:
Windows 10x64.

2. MiKTeX installation -- MiKTeX 2.9 (32 bit):
The last one from July 18, 2018.
(As a matter of fact I updated my MiKTeX installation
this morning -- before installing LyX 2.3.0)

I removed LyX 2.2.3 from my computer. Then I installed LyX 2.3.0.
on drive h:\Program Files (x86)\LyX 2.3. with administrator privilege.

After installation LyX 2.3.0 did not run in Windows 10. I also tried to run
it selecting cmd prompt and using then the command

h:\Program Files (x86)\LyX 2.3\bin\LyX2.3.exe

with no result.

3. Windows 10 is the latest one, i.e., it was updated yesterday.

4. Then I deleted LyX 2.3.0 and reinstalled LyX 2.2.3. This version runs
without any problem.

5. Question: What might be the problem? What have I done wrong.

Hi Gyorgy,

That sounds very frustrating. I don't know what's wrong. I suggest sending an email to lyx-users, or alternatively waiting for 2.3.1 which should have a lot of bug fixes.
