BibTeX, biblatex and biber ⇒ No data in \printbibliography

Hello everyone

As stated in the subject, my problem is with generating data after the \printbibliography section.

Some system information:

Operation system: Debian 9; kernel 4.9.0.-6-686-pae

Texlive (full install) version 2016.20170123-5

Biber Version: 2.7-2

Texmaker: Version 4.5.1

(I hope I did not miss anything important for the debugging)

I have created a very basic template for testing

the .bib file has been created in Mendeley and worked fine with biblatex and could show the bibliography just fine - my problem with it was its inability to change language in the literature and citations.

However after I did change the backend to biber in Texmaker and used the preample code as shown before, I still don't get any result in the bibliography. While the in-text citation works fine, nothing shows up in the bibliography (after the \printbibliography).

After run (PdfLatex + Bib(la)tex + PdfLateX (x2) + View Pdf) I get the following message:

I have tried different approaches and have not got anything to work. I really hope some collective brainpower can help me get back on track

The blg file, the log file of biber, is full of warnings and an error.
You need to fix those step by step first, before you can do any debugging on the LaTeX side.

Thank you for your reply - it helped cleaning up duplicates in the .bib file. However the duplicates was sorted on purpose in different folders- So for anyone else using Mendeley don't have duplicate entries, it did not work for me when using Biblatex and Biber.
