Dear all,

I have the following error when compiling a beamer file using WinEdt. This is part of the copy of my log file:

Hi Nate,

welcome to the forum!

beamer and pgf are maintained and there have been updates in the last years. Your version of 2012 is a bit old, so it can be an outdated package or a mix of versions that doesn't work together (such as a new pgf/tikz but old beamer).

I recommend updating your LaTeX installation. Or to reinstall it with a new version of TeX Live or MiKTeX.
