How do i get square brackets when i cite?

Post by Tzares »

Hello,

I need to have all my citations in square brackets. How do I do this with this template? I tried the setcitestyle, but that did not work. Anyone have a quick fix?

Do you need numerical citations? If so, use style=numeric
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

Sorry, i forgot to explain / specify. I need ot use apa like, so authoryear is ok, but i need the citations to show up inside square brackets in my text. So i cant use cite or citep, and I can not find any other way to do this. Do I have to manually write square brackets infront of \cite and after?

Are you still using biblatex, maybe with the biblatex-apa package or really apalike?
