So when i try to view my lyx document in pdf, i get the error "Command disabled" in the command bar and then nothing happens. This is pretty annoying and i dont know what to do, do anybody have a solution to this?

Are you able to export the .lyx file to PDF with File > Export ?
Did this used to work for you or is this your first time using LyX?
Is it only for certain documents or even for a simple "hello world" document?
