Good afternoon, the computer just shut me off when I saved a Lyx document and when I re-turned it on, loading the document left me the message that "it was not a readable Lyx document." How can I recover the document and be able to edit again? Many thanks in advance!
Pd: If someone wants the document to prove if it can open and upload a pdf version I would be very grateful.

Hi Samuel,
welcome to the forum!
Take a look if you can see a

Take a look if you can see a
.lyx~
file, that is, with a tilde at the extension. This would be a backup file created by LyX that you could use. First of all, copy all the documents in the folder, such as on a flash drive, before you try anything. Try opening the .lyx~ file or remove the tilde and then open with LyX.In general, make backup copies frequently.

Hey Stefan, thanks for your help, but I still can not solve it. I work with Windows and I'm not very friendly with computers. On the other hand, Lyx kept the documents in three different formats: .lyx, .lyx ~ i .lyx #, even though it did the program independently of how it did.
I've been searching for backup copies in the lyx folder, but I have not found any documents. If he did not find it, nothing would happen, it's a 15-page job, of which only 6 are missing, because he had already saved the document in pdf but not complete. However, with more extensive faces, I'd like to know how I could recover the files.
Thank you again

Perhaps look into those files with a simple text editor to see what's in there, a copy, a backup, or just a temporary file.
LyX files (and backups) are plain and readable text files, so you may get your text back from those, or copy and paste from the PDF export if it exists.
