Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ EPS vs. JPEG

Hello,
I'm just learning how to use Latex by trying to write my graduate dissertation with it. I would be happy if you can help me regarding the use of EPS vs. JPEG.
The template file I've found is using EPS files for the figures however when I convert my figures to EPS (using Photoshop) the quality seems to be very low in the PDF. I want to use JPEG instead but don't know what code,part or file I should change in the template. Can you please help me with this?
I'm not sure if it's the right file but I'm attaching the STY file.

How did you find that file? Why are you using it? What do you promise
yurself using this file? Which expectations do you have?

Not using this template and including figures as shown in every basic LaTeX tutorial solves your problem. That file doesn't do anything useful.

That file isn't proper or efficient template to solve your problem.
