I am having the same problem you described. I'm using document class "article", natbib, "jneuros" (instead of plainnat). In the text, the "et al" works, but in the bibliography, all the authors' names show up.

I get the same problem: list of tables AND list of figures in my TOC, and I don't want it.
It probably comes from a package and layout that I'm being forced to use.

After 2 hours working, I tried viewing again and got manny error messages.
