Problem with vspace and longtable
Hello
I am running into a problem when I use \vspace in \longtable. It does not insert space on the first item on a list.
For example
\begin{longtable}{lp{4.5in}}
\multicolumn{2}{l}{RECENT PUBLICATIONS} \\
& Perenyi, A; Katz, J.; Flom, PL; Regensberg, S; Sklar, T. (in press). Analysis of ...

Nice to find this community. I like LaTeX a lot, but I sometimes run into problems. I'm sure that people here can solve them!
