Hi everyone,
Short question. Regularly I use the tabular environment to typeset quoted text in papers. I have noticed that in some cases (xe)Latex squeezes the paragraph before or after the float by adjusting its linespread . How can I avoid that? It looks really crappy.

can xelatex handle crop@invert option?
Hi folks,
I have tried a minimal example of the crop package in xelatex with the invert option (all text white and bg black). This does work on pdflatex and not on xelatex. I do get the pagenumber in white, but the text remains black. Any bypass?

I'm in trouble here. I want to use the following chapter style, but as my chapter titles are too long, they fall off the table? Could anyone help me with this... I am close to deadline. Thanks in advance

The disadvantages I can see in parcolumns are
