How to make copy & paste of verse work correctly

Hi,

I have a about 300 poems in Word (mainly 5.1) and I want to convert it all to a new book & use LaTeX with LyX.

In the word doc I have just a para marker at the end of the stanza, and line ends (shift+return) for each line.

I have not found a combination of copy/paste options that either does ...

The one missing feature: online collaboration

Dave, you obviously haven't understood at all what my thread is about.

Thanks for your replies anyways though.

Of course I know Google Wave and I know the PDF robots.

I know exactly what you were requesting - I thought perhaps you had an urgent need to do collaboration now . In which case a ...

The one missing feature: online collaboration

LyX is a nice way to see (almost) LaTeX code, but a .lyx file is fundamentally a text file. You can open it with a text editor (e.g. Notepad++) and see and change your text. (This is not recommended in case you insert a LaTeX syntax error, which LyX avoids).

Issue with tufte-report class (new in 1.6.6?)

Hi,

I started using LyX last September and love it.

I just upgraded my Windows (XP) install - MikTex to 2.8, & LyX to 1.6.6.1.

I am writing a document with the tufte report class (v 3.5) and it fails with a message that the

Re: The one missing feature: online collaboration

this might be a bit off the wall, but have you tried doing it in google wave?

It certainly allows pasting in of latex text, and collaborative editing.
I guess you might want to stick to one blip, but they can be extracted.

enjoy

Dave

ps google wave is now publicly available and has lots ...

Re: Lyx 1.6.6 User Interface Language doesn't change to germ

After I upgraded to LyX 1.6.6 from 1.6.5 (on Win XP) my GUI menus are all in German. When I change the language in options they say GUI in ...
