I am using document class memoir and the chapters always start at a page with an odd page number. E.g. chapter 1 ends at page 3, but chapter 2 starts at page 5, with page 4 totally blank. My assignment must max be 30 pages so I need to use the blank pages.
Thank you in advance.

It is possible to make this command?
I am writing a paper and I have defined these commands:
\newcommand{\creau}[1]{u_{#1}^*}
\newcommand{\anniu}[1]{u_{#1}^{\vphantom{*}}}
The \vphantom is there to e.g make the k's in \creau{k}\anniu{k} be at the same height.
So now, when I write {\anniu{k}}^2 , it looks so ugly because of the ...

Is it possible to break lines in »align« environment?
Suppose I have a very long expression under a sum sign, how can I change lines so that it can be on the page?
If I have something like
\begin{align}
x=\sum_{k}{ \left[ a + b + c + d + e \right] }
\end{align}
can I somehow make a line change after b? I tried this, but this does not work ...

How do I make a big matrix?
Hi Yue,
you could redefine \arraystretch, like:
\renewcommand{\arraystretch}{2}
This would affect all matrices and arrays, but you could define it locally.
Stefan
I used this and now it seems as though the matrix is not quadratic any more. Is there any similar way to increase the column ...

How do I make a big matrix?
To make a matrix, I usually use the command \begin{pmatrix} \end{pmatrix}. However, when the entries of my matrix have a great height, the entries in the matrix are kinda overlapping each other. When I have a 2x2 matrix and my entries are
c_{\textbf{k}}^\dagger , this happens.
Is there any way to ...

Why does the \equiv not have equal spaces between the lines?
I want to make three vertical lines with equal spaces between the lines.
\equiv makes 3 lines but with strange spaces. Can anyone explain it to me? It looks silly.
