yeah i read that and other discussions. conversion might be ok for simple files but my document has figures, tables and citations. i got it to convert to .odt but openofice cannot open document due to errors.

convert lyx (latex) to word or open office (doc or odt)
is there a way to convert (export) into a format being opened by open office with the goal of saving into a .doc file?
i can export as rtf right now and it does a pretty good job but it doesnt pick up any images/tables or it doesnt display references.

i figured it out how to do it in lyx. click on lyx file citation (where it occurs in file), then "add" your second citation from the menu popping up. it will appear comma separated.

i am using achemso style package and right now my superscripted citations are separated by spaces (if i have several citations next to each other).
how can i put commas between them? i haev tried so many options, nothing gives that to me.

if i look at the demo file for achemso: http://wiki.lyx.org/Layouts/Achemso see section "Examples". it says title, author and affiliation should be mentioned in Preamble section available from Document > Settings > Preamble. It is already written in there, just copy and paste to preamble of document ...

wow, after few days of work i have fixed this. i have downloaded the new achemso package files from acs: http://pubs.acs.org/page/4authors/submission/tex.html then unzipped them in the "local" location as i described above. i ran texhash and Tools > Reconfigure in Lyx then restarted Lyx.

i am running gentoo linux. i have checked and moved achemso folder with achemso.sty in it to TEXMFLOCAL (# /user/local/share/texmf) as defined inside texmf.cnf, I also put it inside TEXMFHOME ($ ~/texmf), even though i understand this was not necessary. i copied achemso.layout to ~/.lyx/layouts and ...

i am trying to use achemso class for writing an ACS journal. I am able to select it from Documents>Settings, but upon selection, my title, authors and affiliation do not have a heading and when i try to compile my article to pdf, it complains about errors.
