When using Lyx with a Book class, all of the appendices are generated as Appendix-A. Is there a way around this?

Thanks. The first issue seems to have gone away - when I booted up my computer this morning and re-compiled the document, the title & TOC are working fine.

Learning to use LyX for the first time, and following the tutorial (class is book). Two quick issues:

(1) The title & table of contents show up in the *.lyx document but do not show up in the corresponding *.pdf

(2) Material classified as “paragraph” or “sub-paragraph” does not wrap around in the ...

I used EXP a number of years ago when writing my dissertation, now looking into LyX for internal technical reports and presentations. I have several hundred PowerPoint presentations on various subjects that I would like eventually to "translate", mostly structural mechanics & dynamics, etc.
