I currently make my company's quotations using latex and I have included checkboxes from the hyperref package, so people can choose which options they want -similar to Dell's website where you can configure your PC-
I would like the PDF to auto calculate the total every time someone

Re: hyperref package and links to executables?
there's one little thing left:
when I enter only a relative path I get an error. Is there a command that will
return the absolute path of the current file location.
I need it because it will be on portable media, and hence drive letters might change.

Re: hyperref package and links to executables?
gawd that was too easy, it works. just use \href{path to your file}{description}
works, oh and don't forget to use / instead of \ in the filepaths (as I did of course
Thank you for the suggestion!

hyperref package and links to executables?
I'd like to incorporate links to folders and executables on an installation CD from my PDF. Can I do this with the hyperref package? Can't seem to find it in the manual.
Thanks!
Thanks!

thumby package and vertical text
I'm using thumby package for tabs and it works fine. However, I'd like to use vertical text saying "chapter #"
Using the rotating package will result in errors trying to format the text.
I can use commands like \fontsize etc. to change the appearance.
Is there a way around this to get it vertical ...

memoir class & unnumbered subsections
Since I've switched to the memoir class my subsections are unnumbered.
I've been reading the titlesec manual and I'm looking for just the command to enable numbering.
Who knows this out of his head?
thanks

memoir class and errors with fancyhdr and subfigure package
I get three errors using these package, and I think these bugs are known.
It's not bad -document compiles correctly otherwise-, but is there a way to get rid of these?
Its the following errors:
command \footruleskip already defined
command c@lofdepth already defined (twice)

Re: Excel 2007 Add-in for easy PDF export of Charts and Tabl
I will try this too, however Im not a fan of Excel myself either.
In academic writing there are very few people that get happy from Excel graphs and tables, but its being used a lot regardless anyways.
I will give feedback.
